Frequently Asked Questions

The questions owners ask before hiring a mountain contractor, answered plainly. Anything missing here is one phone call away.

What areas do you serve?

Our core service area is the Fraser Valley: Fraser, Winter Park, and Tabernash, extending to Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, and Kremmling for scheduled projects. For maintenance and snow contracts we concentrate on the Fraser and Winter Park corridor to keep response times short. If your property is elsewhere in Grand County, contact us and we will tell you honestly whether we can serve it well.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. CB Worx LLC operates as a registered Colorado limited liability company with a principal address at 264 Hughes Ave., Fraser. We carry liability coverage appropriate for residential and light commercial work, and our crews follow documented safety practices. Certificates of insurance are available to clients and lenders on request before work begins.

When is the best time to start a mountain project?

For exterior and structural work, late spring through early fall is the productive window, and scheduling decisions should be made in winter or early spring before the season fills up. Interior remodels can run year-round, though material deliveries over the passes can slow during storm cycles. We plan every schedule around freeze dates and typical storm windows so your project is never left exposed to weather.

How do you price projects?

We provide itemized estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, permits, and clearly labeled allowances for selections you have not finalized. There are no hidden markups on materials, and change orders are documented and approved before work proceeds. If your project qualifies, we can also discuss phased pricing that spreads work across multiple seasons to manage cash flow.

Can you work around my short-term rental calendar?

Yes, and many of our clients are rental owners. We schedule interior work into your lowest-occupancy windows, coordinate lockbox and cleaner access, and protect finishes so the unit is guest-ready when the calendar says it should be. We will be direct if a timeline is unrealistic for peak season turnaround.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. We prepare and submit permit applications for Grand County and the Town of Fraser, coordinate required inspections, and manage corrections if an inspector flags anything. Permit fees and county requirements are included in your estimate so there are no surprises at the counter.

What about winter emergencies on a project?

Every active site has a winterization plan: protected openings, secured materials, and a storm checklist our crews follow before and after heavy weather. If an emergency touches a completed project under warranty, we prioritize stabilization first and repairs as soon as conditions allow.

Do you offer maintenance or snow contracts?

Yes. Seasonal snow removal contracts cover driveways and walkways on a defined trigger depth, and property maintenance programs include scheduled inspections, winterization, spring commissioning, and repair dispatch. Both are flat seasonal agreements, so you know the cost before the season starts.

How long does a typical project take?

A deck replacement usually runs one to two weeks, bathroom remodels three to five weeks, and full additions several months depending on engineering and permitting. We provide a milestone schedule with every estimate and report progress against it. Weather adjustments are communicated as soon as we see them coming, not after the fact.

How do I get an estimate?

Call +1 (972) 785-4627 or email morgan@cbworxllc.us with your address and a description of the work. We will schedule a site visit, take measurements and photos, and return a written estimate. For projects in our core area, estimates are free and carry no obligation.
